Moose Hide Campaign Day
May 16, 2024
Artemis Gold is pleased to participate in the Moose Hide Campaign, a BC-born Indigenous-led movement aimed at raising awareness and taking action to end domestic and gender-based violence.
The Moose Hide Campaign began over 10 years ago, along the Highway of Tears, which is in proximity to the Blackwater Mine. Along this highway, and in the region, a number of Indigenous and non-Indigenous women have been murdered or gone missing.
Since the campaign began, it has since grown into a nationwide movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians from local communities, First Nations, governments, schools, colleges/universities, police forces and many other organizations - all committed to taking action to end this violence.
On May 16, Artemis Gold employees will join Canadians across the country to acknowledge Moose Hide Campaign Day, wearing moose hide pins to signify our commitment to ending gender-based and domestic violence and to taking steps toward reconciliation.
