Celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day

At Artemis Gold and Blackwater Mine, we are committed to building and maintaining respectful, long-lasting and collaborative relationships with Indigenous peoples and communities.
We have partnered with the Lhoosk’uz Dene Nation and Ulkatcho First Nation on whose ancestral lands the mine is located. We are also collaborating with Nadleh Whut’en First Nation, Saik’uz First Nation, Stellat’en First Nation, and Nazko First Nation in connection with other aspects of the mine and its infrastructure.
We are pleased to support cultural awareness, and education about Indigenous culture and traditions at our mine site, including the recent addition of a custom-made ceremonial fire pit that was installed at Blackwater Mine and will be used by employees as part of ongoing cultural programming and ceremonies.
